Earlier this month, the women of Perranarworthal WI opened the doors of the Village Hall for a Coffee and Cake Morning.
Members of the public were invited to relax and enjoy a coffee or tea and cake surrounded by the stalls. On sale were delicious cakes, craft items and new, but unwanted gifts donated by members. Two local artists also took on stalls to sell their beautifully crafted items – glassware and jewellery.
There was a very pleasant atmosphere with Covid safety measures in place and although the event had only been advertised within the village, there was an excellent turnout. Over £700 was raised, to be split between Penhaligon’s Friends and Cornwall Hospice Care.
