Autumn Knitting?

Now that the weather has begun to change and the leaves are starting to turn, what could be better than curling up in front of the fire with some knitting a big mug of something warm?

There are lots of sources of free knitting patterns online, for all skill levels. Here are some of our favourites:

Ravelry – You will have to create an account, but it’s free. Then you can search by all sorts of criteria, including free patterns. Both knitting and crochet patterns.

Blissfully Crafted – we love the knitted pumpkins!

Handy Little Me – we’ve got our eye on that poncho

Love Knitting – the throw in big bulky wool would be a fun and quick project!

Drops Designs – has some amazing sock patterns

Knitty Magazine – loads of wonderful free patterns here. We’re rather taken with the knitted and felted brown ‘paper’ bag.

If you’re more into crochet, DIY Candy has some wonderful free patterns. We love the little autumn leaves!
