Those of you were at the Regal Theatre today will know what a good time the Annual Council Meeting was!
The Board of Trustees dressed up, each as a different decade, and talked a little bit about WI resolutions over the past 100 years.
Special guest NFWI Chair Lynne Stubbings gave a brilliant and inspirational talk. She highlighted some of the wonderful (and some wacky!) opportunities that have been afforded her since she opened various doors along her WI journey – from “collecting” Strictly dancers to meeting with royalty to taking on some very serious issues.
Our afternoon speaker, chef Valentina Harris, kept us all entertained with tales about her Italian family, olives groves, celebrity chefs, food served in ridiculous ways and her love of good honest food from the heart. Who’s going to attempt a nine-layer lasagne?
And what better way to end the day than with a confetti bomb to help us celebrate this special Centenary year!?
