Homestart Kernow

Homestart Kernow is an organisation that offer support to Parents with a child/ren from 0-5yrs through a range of avenues including; 1:1 family support within the family home, online or face to face groups depending on needs identified within the local area.

Volunteers are needed to help support families around Cornwall. They are keen to make connections within Cornwall to maximise the outreach for families and to meet new people who may be interested in volunteering with Homestart Kernow. Can you help?

Homestart Kernow are looking to recruit and train volunteers to provide parent support for individual families and/or groups of parents/carers. Volunteers can provide face to face support, online or phone support, befriending, helping at clinics or parent groups, making tea and coffees etc. We ask that the commitment would be a minimum of 2 hrs support a week.

Support provided is Parent led and can be whatever the family feel they need. This could be; friendship, cooking skills, budgeting, walks out the house, modelling play and baby care, practical support, someone to talk to or advice and guidance.
