Mulled Wine and Mince Pies in Mawnan

On Friday night, Mawnan was transformed when the village Christmas lights were turned on after much hard work from the newly formed Christmas Lights Committee. Crowds gathered in the Square to celebrate the beginning of the festive season which included children from the school and residents who had never been to the event before. Various organisations had organised stalls, with Mawnan WI serving mulled wine and homemade mince pies. More than 100 were consumed before supplies ran out! It looks like it’s going to be a sparkling Christmas in Mawnan Smith.
