Share Your Photos of the Duke of Cornwall!

Prince Charles's Royal Title Prince of Wales, ExplainedAs we all know, this year marks the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. But there’s another event that took place on the same day in 1952 that you might not be aware of – His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales became Duke of Cornwall on the accession of HM The Queen in 1952. This second very significant date is likely to be somewhat overlooked but is, nonetheless, important and particularly important for Cornwall.

CFWI would like to create a display in the WI Marquee at this year’s Royal Cornwall Show to mark Prince Charles’s 70 years as Duke of Cornwall. To do this, we would like to share your photographs of Prince Charles through the years. We are sure that many of you have had royal encounters, either through the WI or perhaps on your own. If you have any photographs we can use, please email them to cfwi@btconnect.com or pop them in the post to CFWI at Chy Noweth an Conteth. If you are sending original photos, we promise to take good care of them and return them to you safely.
