A message from CFWI Climate Ambassador, Pippa Stilwell:
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year’s celebration, and I send my very best wishes for 2019.
This is just a reminder that the closing date for our 15 February Show the Love for Cornwall event is 7 January, so do apply for a ticket if you haven’t already – the event is free.
This is a brilliant opportunity to learn about the way in which climate change is affecting our Cornish wildlife, as well as about local efforts to conserve habitats, mitigate flooding, and reduce carbon emissions. We have speakers from the RSPB, the Woodland Trust, Exeter University and (hopefully) the Eden Project, as well as MPs and Cornwall councillors.
The event will be held at Chy Noweth an Conteth on Friday 15 February 2019, and will open at 1.30pm with coffee and biscuits. Starting at 2pm there will be a series of short talks, followed by a panel discussion and a cream tea.
