Penzance’s Hypatia Trust is currently at work on the Gardeners’ House Project, a new botanical learning centre in the stunning Morrab Gardens in the heart of Penzance.
Together with The Friends of Morrab Gardens and the Pengarth Day Centre, they are raising funds (and awareness) to revitalize the old, and partially derelict, stables block in the beautiful Morrab Gardens to create The Gardeners’ House.
The Gardeners House will be a new home for horticultural projects in Cornwall. It will house the Hypatia Trust’s local Natural History Archive Collection in the newly created Reading Room, and will also have a Lecture Hall, an Open-Air Laboratory for ‘citizen science’ and Communal Activity Spaces for local organisations, as well as upgraded facilities for the gardens volunteer group, the Friends of Morrab Garden, and the Head Gardener.

The group is looking for donations to go towards creating this new and exciting community space, which in turn will support the local and wider communities of Cornwall, whilst ensuring the preservation of this historic building and the beautiful gardens in which it stands.
