Blaikley Salver Poetry Competition

The Blaikley Salver Competition is an annual poetry competition, organised by the Environment & Public Affairs Sub-committee, open to individual WI members in Cornwall. Submitted poems can be any length, up to 32 lines. Recent themes have included ‘Rainbows’, ‘My Green Heart’, Women’s Roles in Wartime’ and ‘Enchanting Pathways’. The winner of the competition will be awarded her prize at the Annual Council Meeting in the autumn, and will be invited to recite her winning poem to the audience.
