With spring so nearly here, Trevone WI enjoyed their last Winter Warmer of the season at Lewinnick Lodge, Newquay. Great food and excellent company made for a lovey afternoon. Thanks to Jan Creffield for all her hard work organising this winter’s programme.
A Crafty Annual Meeting in Torpoint
After their Annual Meeting, members of Torpoint WI relaxed and had a go at fabric weaving, making découpage balls and a bit of simple sewing – of course, accompanied by tea and cakes.
Linkinhorne WI Plants a Tree
Linkinhorne WI members have planted a cherry tree in the Jubilee Field, next door to the hall where they meet at Upton Cross, to mark their 90th birthday as well as the late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
Oggy! Oggy! Oggy! A Cornish Evening for Gulval WI
Gulval WI celebrated ahead of St Piran’s Day with a Cornish quiz, Cornish music and a pasty supper. Members enjoyed a thoroughly good evening, singing along to much-loved Cornish songs, and using their local knowledge, with a great deal of discussion and laughter.
A Quilting Display in Veryan
At Veryan WI’s Annual Meeting this week, members were treated to a beautiful display of quilts. The quilts were made by some of Veryan’s own talented members or kindly loaned by members of the Roseland Quilters.
