WILDLIFE IN OUR GARDENS
Wednesday 18 May 2022
CHY NOWETH AN CONTETH
This will be a fun and informative day. You’ll learn how to create a mini nature reserve in your own garden.
We will be joined by three excellent speakers: Jenny Parker, the warden of the RSPB Reserves in Cornwall; Liam Shoesmith from Truro Parks Department; and a speaker from Cornwall Wildlife Trust. They will give us ideas about encouraging garden creatures great and small, including information about soil and compost, plants, landscaping and feeding and housing wildlife such as birds and hedgehogs. There will be plenty of time for questions.
After the talks you can browse the stalls to get more information on practical issues including making wildlife homes, composting, seeding and planting.
Homemade soup and rolls will be served at lunchtime (included in the price). Tea and coffee will be available all day. And of course there will be cake!
Closing Date: Thursday 5 May 2022
