In April of 1972, a Cavalcade of Costume was held in Bodmin. Various WI members modelled genuine period costumes dating back to 1690. See the programme here.
In October of that same year, CFWI organised a large Crafts and Flowers Exhibition at Truro City Hall. Tickets cost 10p! The event received a lot of publicity, including this article in the Western Morning News.

In 1975, a three-day Country House Festival was held at Antony House in Torpoint. The festival included crafts, floral demonstrations, drama performances and a special visit by Mrs Pat Jacob, Chairman of the National Federation of Women’s Institutes.
