A Day at the Museum

Following Mawnan WI’s very successful trip to the Royal Cornwall Museum in Truro last year, 12 members met for a return visit recently. Members were treated to a guided tour of the highlights of the history of Cornwall from 700,000BC, and then the portrait gallery. It’s incredible to think that only 6% of the Museum’s artefacts are on show at any time. Royal Cornwall Museum is certainly worth visiting and the women all left feeling that they knew a little bit more about their county and the people who lived in it.
