A village tidy-up in Perranarworthal

Perranarworthal WI members get to work tidying up the village

Doing the same things but doing them differently underlies the determination of Perranarworthal WI to keep moving forward. Social distancing and masks may have become the norm, but looking after the environment is still very important to this WI.

It undoubtedly was a cold and often wet spring, yet the gardening group tidied up the village planters and flower beds and created what are rapidly becoming beautiful and cheerful floral displays around Perranarworthal. The annual village clean up also took place with WI members armed with bin bags, protective gloves and grabbers, picking up litter along the footpaths and roads.

Meanwhile Perranarworthal WI’s walking group has continued to enjoy their lovely surroundings, and the Wednesday Coffee Morning meetings have now restarted in groups of six.

Like all WIs, they are looking forward to meeting all together in the near future.
