At 6.30 one morning in early September, six women from Maker with Rame WI braved the cold to participate in a sponsored skinny dip from Kingsand Beach, in aid of the local women’s and children’s refuge. The group was delighted to announce that they raised £1,350. The ages of the skinny dippers ranged from 33 to 78 and they warmed up afterwards with coffee and a hot cross bun in the Clock Tower, which is their regular meeting venue.
