This year we have two wonderful Christmas County Lunches planned! These are always fabulous occasions with delicious food and a great chance to get together with other WI members in a festive atmosphere.
Friday 1 December 2023, 12pm for 12.30pm

Starters
• Classic prawn cocktail
• Spiced parsnip and apple soup with herb croutons
• Avocado, walnut, blue cheese salad and raspberry vinaigrette
Mains
• Traditional roast turkey with pig in blanket, sage and onion stuffing, cranberry sauce and pan gravy
• Braised feather blade beef steak with a rich Guinness mushroom and onion sauce
• Chef’s fillet of market fish with shellfish bisque sauce
• Classic nut roast with vegetable jus
Dessert
• Traditional Christmas pudding with brandy sauce
• Honey and cinnamon baked cheesecake with roasted figs
• Selection of English and Continental cheese with grapes and biscuits
Followed by tea or coffee and mince pies
Monday 4 December 2023, 12pm for 12.30pm

• Traditional roast turkey, roast potatoes, festive vegetables, pigs in blankets, apricot stuffing and turkey gravy
• Lemon sole, Lyonnaise potatoes, caper and chive cream
• Chestnut and pecan loaf, harissa dressing
Desserts
• Christmas pudding with brandy crème anglaise
• Chocolate Yule log with redcurrants
• Coconut panna cotta with tropical fruit salsa
Followed by tea or coffee and mince pies.
The closing date for both lunches is Friday 3 November. Cost: £32.
