Since last summer, Gylly Girls WI have been holding monthly craft groups on a Saturday morning so that both working and retired women can attend. A number of very clever crafters run these groups including Sherrie, Sue and Moira. In one session, members created felt and bead necklaces, and poppies and pumpkins in another.
When the call went out for poppies to decorate Kimberley Park and then butterflies for The End of Life and Palliative Care Team at Royal Cornwall Hospital, the Gylly Girls got working. Over 300 poppies and 150 butterflies have been made so far!
