Linda Hallwood, President, wrote to let us know that members of Crantock WI recently enjoyed an outing to the Tamar Bridge. They travelled to the bridge in the Lions charity mini bus after enjoying lunch and a bit of retail therapy on the way at Tamar View Garden Centre. They were met by their guide for the afternoon and his assistant, who started the tour at a raised viewing area that gave a wonderful view of the two bridges. They were able to walk the bridge stopping along the way to marvel at the fantastic architecture. They were given such an interesting talk, starting with the building of the Brunel railway bridge and ending at the newly built visitors centre.
They would highly recommend other WIs to plan a visit here.
