Yesterday, 33 WI members from all over the county were treated to three interesting speakers at the ‘Girls Day In Revisited’ event at Chy Noweth.
Dawn Rowe presented a variety of exercises, suitable for everyone and which could easily be tried at home. Hannah Darling demonstrated how to look after our eyebrows, and Paula Fairweather led a session of Mindfulness with her incredibly relaxing voice.
After a satisfying lunch, Jess Strongman explained the work of the Chaos group, an organisation that works with disabled and disadvantaged members of the community to provide experiences and opportunities to help them find their feet; whether it’s homelessness, addiction, disability or mental health.
This popular event, organised by the Activity and Leisure sub-committee, had rave reviews from all who attended.
