JIGSAW CHALLENGE RESULT

CFWI Jigsaw Challenge 2026

At Otterham and St Juliot Village Hall, on a glorious hot and sunny Spring day, CFWIs annual ‘Jigsaw Challenge’ had 15 WI teams from across the county competing for the magnificent trophy.

The fiendishly difficult 1000 piece jigsaws (all the same subject), especially sourced by Margaret for the competition, provided an increased challenge this year. The teams set to work and there was a hum of concentration amongst the members  working together and manipulating the little pieces. In the end, Morwenstow WI rose to the occasion and completed their jigsaw in four hours, narrowly beating Pensilva. The other WI teams were in various stages of completing the jigsaws, so congratulations go to all for their participation!

Thanks go to Clare for providing the delicious ploughman’s lunch, which was much appreciated by everyone.

We want to take the next challenge to another area in the county next year, so if you can let us know of any halls that could accommodate a number of teams please message us. It really is great fun!
