Members of Crantock WI recently held a lino cut and print workshop that resulted in some wonderful creations. The session was delivered by Crantock WI President Linda Hallwood, who is a former art teacher.
Members learned about lino printing techniques and how to use the tools. Once the designs had been cut on the lino, instruction was given on printing. The group found cutting their designs very therapeutic and addictive and some members came back for a second time!
The printing process was a little messy but fun and the women enjoyed discovering colour and texture.
Lino printing is a relatively cheap hobby to pursue and once the members had had a taste some went on to get their own tools, lino and inks.
