Jane Higgins, a member of Trematon WI, has recently published a book, Decluttering Made Easy: A Simple Step-by-Step Guide, based on her own “nightmare experiences” of decluttering and emptying her late mum’s home after her death.
Jane’s mum was Hazel Greeves, a lifelong member of the WI, first at St Agnes, followed by Trematon. She held many prominent positions within the WI, and the organisation played a huge role in her life.
Jane says, “I felt that the knowledge and organisational skills which I had learnt from managing this totally overwhelming task should be shared with others, in order to help them through similar chaotic and extremely emotional situations. Writing a book about the subject was my solution to this problem.”
The book is published by Arthur H. Stockwell Ltd, Ilfracombe, and is written in an easy to read, lightly humorous style.
