Porthleven WI Gardening Club
At a meeting earlier this spring, Porthleven WI members were fascinated by a display of pictures taken by local photographer Arthur Roberts on a sponsored photoshoot to Svalbard, on behalf of Children’s Hospice South West.
Svalbard is a Norwegian archipelago between mainland Norway and the North Pole and is one of the world’s northernmost inhabited areas.
At the meeting, members raised over £130 for Children’s Hospice SW, with a raffle, card sales and donations for coffee and cake.
Porthleven WI’s Gardening Club also managed their first outing since lockdown. Members met at Trevena Cross Nursery for a catch up and to plan their spring timetable.
