Response to the Where’s WInnie? activity, both within the WI and around the world, has been overwhelming and the WI is proud that such a simple idea has captured the interest and imagination of so many. Many members have chosen to not hide their corgi, but instead pass on the WI hand of friendship in other ways…
Kaye Wadey of Blackmore WI in the Essex Federation says, “I thought members might like to see a litter of corgis, made from the WI pattern, that are destined for Poland where they will be given to Ukrainian children , now refugees from their homeland and, in some cases, badly traumatised.”
Kaye Wadey was a former WI Adviser and member of Marshgate WI in our Federation who retired to Essex.
