Madron WI held a Suffragette march in October to celebrate their 100th birthday, 100 years since women had the vote and 100 years since the first WI resolution. The Madron group marched through the village with other local WIs; children from Madron School; Councillor Dick Cliffe, the Mayor of Penzance; and Mayoress Mrs Cliffe.

Jacobstow WI celebrated its 80th birthday last week!
