The NFWI Specialist Activities Committee is looking for a WI member to make an item of goldwork embroidery which will be mounted onto a card and sent to Buckingham Palace in celebration of the Queen’s 94th birthday in April 2020.

If you are interested in this exciting project, please send your design ideas and physical examples of your previous work addressed as ‘Queen’s Birthday Card Submission’ to the NFWI Unit by Thursday 31 October:

A maker will then be chosen and will be informed by 15 November 2019. If the you would like to attach the piece of goldwork embroidery to your own card, this may be possible and should be explained when sending the design ideas.
