Volunteer WI members yesterday staffed a gorgeously colourful stall at Truro Pride.
We were on hand to raise the profile of the WI, tell people about all the amazing things we do and to let everyone know that we are an inclusive organisation that welcomes all women.
The Pride atmosphere was wonderful. It was a day of joy, love, unity and togetherness – along with fabulous music, entertainment and food and drink. We talked to people, made new friends and definitely made our presence known.
So many people told us how pleased they were to see the WI represented at Pride, and we were really gratified to hear that.
Big thanks to members of Grampound WI and Connor Downs & Gwithian WI for helping out, along with members of the Board of Trustees and CFWI staff.
We will be back next year and hope to have more members on hand to talk to visitors to our WI stall!
