Over 60 happy WI members met today at Knightor Winery for a day of learning, tasting and fun.
We heard a bit about the history of Knightor and then toured the winery where we learnt a lot about how the wine is made – from pressing to bottling.
Then the bottles were opened and we tasted some lovely wines – sparkling, white and rosé. David, one of the wine-makers, explained each wine as we sipped, chatted and giggled (but didn’t spit).
We all sat down in the beautiful restaurant for a delicious ploughman’s lunch of local cheeses and meats, accompanied by wonderful home-baked bread.

Thank you ladies for your company and making it an enjoyable event. Thank you also to the staff at Knightor for adding to our enjoyment and providing an excellent ploughmans lunch.
