This year’s Helston Fatstock Show will take place on Saturday 4 November, and there are some great opportunities for WIs and WI members to show off their talents in various competition classes!
The co-operative (group) class this year has a theme of “King Charles III’s Coronation”, and should consist of:
- An item of cookery – savoury – own choice
- An item of cookery – sweet – own choice
- A Coronation invitation card
- A craft item, own choice – any medium
- A floral arrangement – any medium
The Gunwalloe WI Cup will be presented to the WI with the most points.
Last year, the Show organisers were disappointed that there were no WI entries, so let’s make a splash this year!
If you don’t fancy entering the co-operative class, there are plenty of other individual classes that members might like to enter, including bakery, preserves, photography, handicraft, art and floral art.

The Show will be held at Franchis Farm, Helston, and is all under one roof – so would make a great day out, whatever the weather!
