Karin Snape, a WI member from Cheshire, has undertaken an epic walk from John O’Groats to Land’s End to raise money for Guide Dogs. Karin’s walk, which started on 15 April, is due to end on Monday 12 June at Land’s End.
It would be wonderful if we could get some WI support to greet her as she finishes. Karin estimates she’ll be arriving at about 2pm, so what about meeting at Land’s End by 1pm at the latest?
Cornwall Federation Chair Helen Kestle says, “I will be there to cheer Karin on, and I hope lots of you can join me!”
WI Life might be sending a photographer and we hope there will be some local news coverage as well.
Along the way, Karin has had huge support from members of the WI, up and down the country.
Karin will be meeting up with some members of Beaches and Cream WI on Thursday, and they hope to bring her to visit us in the WI Marquee at the Royal Cornwall Show. If you’re around, please pop in and show some support for Karin!
