Sustainable Pendeen is holding an event that will explore innovations and resources that can help us all reduce our carbon footprints and live more sustainably. The event will be held at The Centre of Pendeen on Saturday 9 July, from 10.30am until 4pm. Entry is free and all are welcome.

At the June meeting of Hessenford WI, members were taught by Marie Bersey to make a Victorian posy. They were then served with celebration cake baked by Hessenford WI President Jackie and raised a glass to toast Her Majesty.

St Tudy WI’s display of 100 years of memorabilia were displayed at their Platinum Jubilee celebrations in the Village Hall. The display was admired by many – and hopefully will encourage new members!  

The Hayle WI gardening group has been busy re planting the WI flowerbed on Penpol Terrace; and made this glorious crown in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee as a centrepiece.
